Is it totaled?!

Friend just got into an accident with his Geezer. T-boned with a civic that was trying to make a left turn. Everyone is okay, just the cars were hurt. Can you tell from the picture if the G35 is going to be considered totaled?

depends how much damage was done to the engine.....my mother had a S430 benz a few yrs back, she got hit head on, damage looked bad but repairable...they ended up totalling it because the engine had a crack in the block...

my guess is that it is NOT a Total Loss and repairs will prolly be ~$7,000

the hit doesn't look as bad as it may seem. also im guessing the value of the car is at least ~$20k. all this coming from previous adjuster/appraisal knowledge =D

tell your friend to goto the yard and collect his property from the car... its totalled. Also tell him to find some high priced g35's in the local paper/autotrader.com for the insurance comparisions......

Just got back from the yard with my buddy to do exactly what you mentioned above. Was able to snap a few pics of this Maserati.. ouch!

Yea, that place was like a graveyard. Saw a Porsche 997 shaped like a U

If the roof is bented then the car is written off for sure. The wife had an accident in here car, the damage looked superfishal but because of where she ended up in the hedge both first doors were jammed and the only excess to the interior was by the rear boot. The firemen just walked up over the bonnet and over the roof, benting as they went. When the car was collected and inspected by the insurance company the thing was write off, solely becuase of the damage to the roof.

The repair shop said the rest of the damage would have amounted to £3K on a £18K car.

To the OP - A few years ago, I had a bad accident in my G35 Sedan...I walked out with a scratch thank God, but my G35 was totaled.

Glad you're ok. Your insurance company will let you know if it's totaled, but like someone else said, if there's frame and/or engine damage, they'll probably total it as it could be > $15-$20k in damage. It doesn't matter...if it's totaled, you'll get another car and if not, the your car will be fixed...eventually. G/L.

Figured; my wrecked G35 Sedan you see in the pics had > $20k in damages. G/L on your next car...have you thought about the BMW 335i?
