After two GRUESOME months of waiting (first world problems) I finally picked up my 2020 BMW M340i. What a wonderful and exhilarating car to drive, wow. This week, I will be getting a few minor things done:
- IND painted front reflectors
- BMW floating center caps
- Front bumper and headlights PPF
- Full car ceramic coating

For the near future:
- Gloss black lip, sideskirts, diffuser
- Lowering (H&R or KW V1 when released)
- Catted downpipe
- Gloss black grill, inserts and mirrors
- Ceramic window tints

More pictures to come - especially when I get that white protective plastic off! I asked the dealer to not touch or wash the car, they left everything on and the car is factory fresh

Congrats! You have great taste. Mine is also dravit/cognac/mesh. It's at the port in Germany, the wait is killing me.

How much are you paying for the ppf to the front bumper and lights? Im trying to get some quotes.

Very nice, enjoy your new car. I have the Dravit/Cognac combination too. Got it in April and still think it's one of the best color combinations for the G20.

Wow, nice spec! it'll be here in no time, trust me!
I got a wide range of quotes, but the shop i ended up going with charges $495 for bumper and headlights. Its on the lower end of the pricing spectrum for XPEL

Congratulations on your new ride. May I ask what kind of deal did you get with your custom build M340i from Valencia BMW? It would be great if you can provide me a reference because I live in Valencia area too and want to place an order for a loaded M340i soon.

This sounds familiar to my setup and build.

I love your car! Super sick color! I got a loud Metallic Sunset Orange with Gloss Black & CF M Performance Parts.

I have the same add ons that you are going for maybe a few adjustments or differences.

I have a quick question though since I am as I type waiting for my car at Tint World Pittsburgh the best local shop for tints and wraps. I am getting Suntek PPF on the "front clip" bumper, hood, fenders, and also added the front doors I think. I am getting 45% Ceramic Tint all around except 70% on the windshield.

You mentioned getting your headlights done with PPF.

Can you elaborate more for me on why that is important? I am sure it is I just am curious if its to protect from future hazing? Scratches or chips?

What is your concern on the headlights and reason for covering with PPF? Wont that reduce the light output?

PPF for just the front bumper can't be more than $400-$500 depending on the installer and material I would think.

As you add more items on it gets cheaper per piece you are covering with PPF typically.

For my cars it has always been a few hundred per panel as a rule the bumper costs a bit more than a hood for example its an easier install that takes less time. For good installers who know what they are doing you should expect to pay a chunk of money.

I recommend the bumper, full hood, and front fenders for PPF if you purchased your car and plan to keep it for years.

Wow that sounds like an awesome spec, congrats! For the headlights, yeah I just wanted to protect against chips/scratches and stuff. On my last car, I didn't get the lights protected and they were all chipped up and it looked pretty bad when you would look at them up close at night.

Still pretty new haha. Yeah I dont see why that wouldn't work, but maybe you'd need some paint correction before doing the ceramic coating because of small scratches, swirl marks, etc. It'll make it way easier to wash too!

thanks for the info. so might be cheaper to do it sooner than later before my paint gets even more damaged because of winter conditions. I'll try to find a place in my area (ottawa, ontario)

Congratulations and that's exactly how my car was delivered to me and removing the white type is a very satisfying experience

I also did full PPF but went with Quartz for ceramic coating. I might get this color combo if it is still offered once my lease is up in 3 years.
