Does oil filter supposed to have movement ?

Just bought the car so dont know if this supposed be like this. Basically the oil filter was completely detached from oil cap, when I did oil change. Managed to attach it, but oil filter still has little play is this normal or should i replace entire oil cap.

That is not normal. Does your oil filter cap have the plastic cage that goes inside the oil filter installed? If not, you need a new oil filter cap with that cage. That small tip with the greenish o-ring is a critical part of the lubrication system. Without that tip, your engine will have low oil pressure because that tip seals a drain hole in the bottom of the oil filter housing.

A little movement is normal. Does it stay on the cap when you lift the cap up?

Then what prompted you to state "Basically the oil filter was completely detached from oil cap"?

When I did my first oil change it was completely detached, I reattached it, but it has little movement, now since I never know how tight its supposed to be, and I know the importance of that small o-ring for oil pressure it worries me a little bit.

The cage snaps into the cap and the filter sit over the cage into the cap pretty snug. Either you have the wrong size filter or something in the cap/cage connection is broken.

Put the oil filter on and try to pull it back out. If the entire thing comes out (oil filter and cage) it's broken. If the just the oil filter slips off then it's fine.

To give yourself peace of mind, go to FCP Euro and buy a new cap.

When you put the filter in the top it should tighten up.
The o rings need to be changed with each new filter.
