Code 3162 or p149A does anyone know how to fix this?

Got a check engine light and need help. I thought it was lose wiring or something to do with my charcoal canister but everything seemed good. Anyone know how to fix this or any ideas?

If your Zurich ZR13 Scan Tool that you used in your "Alternate Thread" 2 days ago will do "Activations", try to Activate the Tank Vent Valve. If you can't figure out how to make the ZR 13 do that, check the Connector & wiring to the Tank Vent Valve as explained in Detail in your previous thread:
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1668611

If that's TMI, just see these links to TIS circuit diagram, Installation Location, & R&R Procedure (Valve is Y6120):

I also checked the connector by the boost pipe and it was good. I even disconnected it and it threw another code so I know that isn't the problem.

Photos in other post are obviously DMTL, Canister & Plumbing. Only electrical connector shown in your photos is DMTL PUMP Connector, as shown in this TIS Installation Location, where "M119a" is the Pump, and X17140 is its electrical connector, and NEITHER is related to the P149a Code:
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...cou/1VnYh7imr5

I don't have an N55, but there are several components in that charge pipe area under the hood that look somewhat similar, according to the TIS diagrams. All I can do is refer you to the Installation Location, and R&R Procedure I provided previously for identification of the TANK VENT VALVE (Y6120). As I stated, I am NOT aware of any OTHER Electrically-operated SHUTOFF VALVE (or VALVE of ANY TYPE) in the Evaporative Emissions System, so I can't think of anything ELSE the code definition I provided from BMW Fault Code Lookup, or that you had from the ZR13, might be referring to.

WHAT FAULT CODE was saved when you disconnected the connector near the Boost Pipe? If we have that code, we can at least know if that was related to the Vent Valve, or a different component. If any work was done in the area of that Vent Valve or the DME (under the hood) just BEFORE the code was set, that has to be a clue.

If that valve works the way I would expect it to (open when engine running, & closed after engine shutdown), then it must be closed when it SHOULD be open (NOT opening to purge canister), as you would get tank leak error of some type if it were open when it SHOULD be closed with engine OFF. Please Provide new code from when Connector Disconnected.

I got code P0444 when I unplugged the sensor by the boost pipe. The only thing done to the car is upgraded boost pipe and cold air intake. I bought the car with everything on it and with the check engine light I also have a check engine light for my Valvetronic actuator which is 2DD8 and 2DD6
