There are things that I can appreciate, whether it be aesthetics or horsepower from pretty much (almost) all of the various series of BMW; but yes, the E92 is what always catches my eye. I just have a great fondness for these cars. The steering feel, the lines, etc. If I were to change one thing, I wish BMW would have taken a little more time refining the interior and using different materials that didn't wear so poorly over time.

From a audi enthusiast, I'm very impressed by bmw lately.
Last year I got a f25 with n55, and I was shocked to see that much power in a freaking small SUV. Totally useless for 97.2% of people. But I enjoy it. And now with a highmileage E91, and its very very fun to drive. Strongly thinking about keeping the e91 for a N54 project. Now with xdelete, it makes it the perfect all season car. |

mmm, I think the E92 and E93 are OK, but the E90 and E91 are awesome, especially from certain angles. I think the hood is too angled down for the E92/93 whereas it looks good in wagon/sedan form.
I think the 2 series and 4 series pulled off the coupe look better albeit without the driving feel of any E series. But the F30/F31 look comical with the length of the hood (especially given that the engines don't come close to filling that void). Just my opinion though and I'm not a designer, so probably not worth anything. |

I think the E46 ZHP coupe is my favorite along with the M3 CSL. I do love my E92 and think the M4 is impressive inside and out. The E91 in the thread with it's Style 225's is something I'd like to drive if I ever own a 4-door vehicle.

Looks are always subjective, but I far prefer the e92 to the e46 coupe which just looks like a frumpy, slightly more bubbly e36.
If you want small, just buy an e30 and be done with it! Drove mine today, was a joy & drives better than it has any right to. After not driving it for a while the e30 feels tiny jumping out of my e92 My cloth Recaros are comfier than the sport seats in my e92 too. |
