Retrofit CC error

Hi all,
I have a 2007 e91 with auto wipers, xenon headlights but no cruise control.
I bought a secondhand SZL unit installed it, and coded is following all the instructions, adding $540 to the VO, and coding all the modules. All is fine with no errors until I try to activate cruise control. It then shows the cruise control symbol with an exclamation mark in orange and throws the code
Code:
2D50 - DME, internal fault: monitoring, cruise control
. I can't find anything else about this online. It goes away at the end of my journey, and only comes on next time if I click cruise control.
The SZL module I bought doesn't have a rear windscreen button but my car does. Could this be the issue, or does anyone else have any ideas?

Many thanks,
Matt

I have retrofitted cruise control to my e90 also. You definitely have to have the right SZL i think, and also depending on your build date, you may need to install an LDM module. I had to install one of these in my car to get cruise control working.

You have also coded the wrong VO option to the car. 6 cylinders did not come with 540, standard cruise, they all had 544, which is cruise control with braking function, or 541 which is Active cruise control. Do you know what the build year and month your car is? I think from memory, if your car is built after 9/2006, then you don't need an LDM module. The braking function is built into the DSC.

You could try changing 540 in the VO to 544 and see what happens if your car is built after 9/2006

Thanks very much! My build date from the VIN says 2006-10-18, so fingers crossed I'm in luck! I'll try changing to option 544 soon and see how that goes.
Cheers,
Matt

Thanks very much! Got it working last night by replacing $540 with $544.
Cheers
