Nope. Dont bother looking if you need to pay MSRP. 15 to 20k markups are common.

Lets say the R8 we want is $140,000 and the mark up is $15,000. The total is $155,000 (for simplicity, I will leave out tax and destination charges.) If this this car depreciates $4,000 after we buy it, would the car be worth $136,000 or would it be $151,000? |

Depreciation and appreciation numbers are quoted off the list price. If you sold the car for $136k, it would have dropped $4k, if you sold it for $151k the car would be seen as having appreciated $11k, even though you took a $4k loss. It would be a decline in appreciation, rather than depreciation.

LOL Rusnak in Pasadena has a 09 blk/blk with a $140K msrp +$50K mark up on the window $190K
They also have a 08 blk/blk with 1900 miles. They want $169K. Original sticker was $132K I told the salesman I will do sticker on the 09 and he LOL. Lets see how long it sits in the showroom. My thoughts are if it wasn't presold with that kind of markup, just like the M3 and M6 they are dreaming |

Yes it is I just swung by on Saturday and she was still sitting pretty. One of Audi's Le Mans cars is also on display in the same location on Park Ave It was closed for renovation, but I believe it's opening back up September 6th... but my memory is failing me so please don't quote me on that!

Appreciate, assuming you could find someone willing to pay $11k over list for a used car. What would be fun would be to borrow an R8 with 50 miles or so on it, go to a dealer asking $10k markup on them and ask what he'd give you to trade yours in on a new one. Should be an interesting discussion about depreciation and R8 values.

one of my best friends just bought one last month...........he paid a 25K premium. He's had DB9 and other various cars and personally knows the owner of Luxury Motors .
He got the car in 1 day (shipped from Vegas) from when he placed his order. I drove it last night and let me just say WOW.......amazing car!!! |
