2018 BMW 440i Gran Coupe MPPSK

I was browsing for some BMW accessories, and when I was on the BMW website I came across the MPPSK that is priced at $2950 before installation. On the picture it shows REBATE on the bottom. I also noted some OEM wheels/tires that I was not interested in, but they had REBATE in their respective pictures as well. I cannot find any information for rebates regarding the MPPSK or BMW parts anywhere on the internet. I sent an email to my nearest BMW service/parts department, but I probably will not get an answer for a couple of days. Does anyone have any information on the rebate?

I called about this as well because I was also interested in the MPPSK for my 2016 340i xDrive. I don't recall the exact amounts but I think the rebate for that amount is $175. The catch is that it isn't cash. The rebate is for money towards buying parts or accessories from BMW USA but can't be used towards whatever you are buying that is getting you the rebate.

I went to the BMW dealership parts counter to talk to the parts manager. Come to find out, they also have an employee pricing special until the 26th. He quoted me $2380 for the MPPSK. I think this is a pretty good deal.

I went to my service advisor and asked about labor costs. She quoted me at $550. Does this sound about right for installation?

In Oct 2016 I paid $2399.60 for the MPPSK kit, $203.20 each for carbon fiber tips, $187.85 labor and $149.95 for programming. They hit me for $38.85 shop supplies and $204.14 sales tax, total out the door was $3386.79.

Yeah that's about what I paid to have it added at the time of purchase. @throwingcopper that's a solid deal.

The MPPSK for the 440i is awesome when you want it to be loud in sport mode but what does it sound like under comfort mode? Is it as loud as a standard M240i which is droning on the highway.

Well, the dealership has my money. I'm waiting for the kit to come in, then I will schedule the install. MPPSK, CF tips, plus install came to $2900 before taxes. I will let everyone know my thoughts after it is installed.

Car is insanely quiet in comfort while cruising. Seriously not a single drop of drone even with the valves opened!. While moderately accelerating it's slightly louder than stock was and with a much nicer tone. Almost sounds g37 ish to me. If you happen to go anything 7/10 throttle in comfort, the valves will open automatically and sound pretty loud.

This is with active sound off, IIRC there was some annoying drone with active sound on, no clue why it's even a thing.

I just picked up my 440i GC after the MPPSK installed. I can hear a sportier exhaust which is not obnoxiously loud, which is exactly what I wanted. I do feel a slight bump in power. On the sport displays, it maxed out at 350hp and 360 torque after standing on the gas pedal.

I did hear a rattle from the passenger side between 1000-3000RPMs on the highway. A research on the forum is saying that this is most likely due to the new exhaust hitting the heat shield or screws securing the heat shield. It sounds like a small adjustment to the exhaust should correct this.

Another interesting thing is that after their reprogramming, it reset all systems coding back to factory. So I am going to have to spend a couple of hours recoding my car with Bimmercode.

Overall I am happy and impressed with the MPPSK option.
