My car starts to shake after 70+ mph, why? HELP

Took delivery last week, I changed my wheels, put 19" on wheels on it, at low speeds, Its fine, no problems at all, when im on the Hwy when I get to around 75-80 range..it starts shaking, I have hardly any steering wheel shake though, i did notice my visor was shaking a little today, but not much at all on the steering wheel...what is the problem? could it need high speed balancing? or maybe too much pressure in the tires?..whatever it is, when im on the hwy, its really annoying, someone help!

I'd check tire pressure and balancing...also for uneven wear on tires. Did you hit any potholes recently?

no, didnt hit nothing, car only has 120 miles on it. Got them balanced when the rims were mounted on the tires, but maybe it needs high speed balancing?.....hellp!

Try to remove and remount the wheels on the car. I had a similar issue, and this cured it. One of the wheels wasn't quite flush to the hub when it was torqued.

Do you have spacers?

Where did you get the wheels, and are they new? if they are used chances are the rims might be bent very little causing it to shake at higher speeds. thats my guess...

got the wheels from my bmw dealer, they're brand new, had the dealer put them on the car for me when I took delivery. It cant be alignment, car is not pulling to one side.

If the BMW dealer sold and installed, then that will help. You should be able to have them diagnose and fix whatever the issue may be. There are only a few possible causes, and they should take care of you as the customer.
