Gloss Black Trim — Interior

How are people keeping the gloss black trim around center console free of scratches? I ceramic coated mine and seems to help (used GTechniq CSL).

This is a good question. I’m tempted to do some sort of wrap/sticker on it but thus far I’ve just been being careful. I wonder if there are any carbon fiber kits available?

Gloss black on plastic in an interior has to be the worst choice of materials.

It's not even true Piano Black (which would be wood with an enamel) it's just plastic and it feels like it's going to get scratched and then bother me.

Microfiber cloth at all times and making sure nothing else touches it... it is kinda difficult otherwise.

I might take it out and PPF it. I did that with the CF trim on my F80.

Nothing really touches it. It shows up finger prints, but other than that, I can't see what I'm going to put on there that would scratch it.

Keys scratch it, taking stuff in and out of cup holders, etc... seems like it is prone to get scuffed up

After a few piano black "incidents" this is what I did for my current vehicle. So far so good after ~4 months.
