Paint/Cerakote exhaust surround

Hey guys,

Is the chrome exhaust surround removable without rear bumper removal?

Thinking of painting or cerakoting the surround if possible.

Thanks

I’ve read in another thread that it is possible but nobody has seemed to make a DIY post about it yet other than removing the bumper. I’m interested in finding out too because I have a set of Shadowline trim waiting to be installed

It's doable, haven't got a chance to try it yet.

alternative is painting without removing. I tapped off with plastic cover and used high heat spray paint and clear coat spray. almost a year and still looks great. took a little more time painting since i wanted to make sure i get into the tight spot.
