New owner gloss black grille question
Evening
New to the forum. Picking up a 2018 x3 3.0d m sport on Monday . Coming from a 3 series 320d so looking forward to the new engine . Looking to change to a gloss back grille . I am aware this is easy to do however I assume this does not effect the active grille tech . Does this sit behind? Many thanks in advance |

The double slat X3m style grill may not be suitable, as it doesnt have the same number of slats. The double slat has 6 double slats, while the normal x3 grill has 7. I.e the active grill won't line up to the double slat grill in front.

I ordered them from a BMW online shop here in Germany.
Paid €129,- which equals 110GBP Partnumbers: 51138469959 51138469960 Most of the retailers ship also to the UK and you can pay with paypal. Try baum-bmwshop.de or www.leebmann24.de |

I have toyed with the idea of pulling the fuse for the shutters as I like the open grill look and can probably live with the very small decrease in aero dynamics/fuel efficiency.

Having the shutters don't really bother me since I don't see them.. unless the car is off and I'm walking towards it lol |
