The best way is to never mount it in the first place

Agreed... no front plate ... tow hook .. bumper mount whatever.. looks much cleaner without. I'll never put the front plate on my g20 m340i ever

That's your first problem, putting it on the dash. Draws attention.

Just don't mount it, period.

I'm in Dallas now... Was in San Antonio before that. NEVER mounted my last three cars. Never will.

I live in Texas and in my 15+ years of car ownership, I have never had a front license plate and I've never been ticketed for it.

I am a big fan of double sided type. That is what BMW uses for European Delivery vehicles as well as many others in Europe.

If I have to plate up (for usually going up to Canada) thats what I do and remove it after my trip.

I ordered the https://www.cravenspeed.com/ tow hook plate holder. Living in TX I'm not going to risk it

Had read and heard great things. Received it in the mail just last week. Great build quality, looks very sturdy.

PS this is not a sponsored post

Sorry officer,I was just taking pictures yesterday with some friends and removed it so I could have the photos online. I can install it right now if that's agreeable and all my info checks out ... 👍

Pulls tow hook from trunk ready to go.

Likewise. Have lived here since 2007. Dallas, San Antonio, Austin. Was stopped once by a local PD in my Wrangler, given a warning & stopped once by Highway Patrol in our suv on the 30th of the month where there were literally 10+ HP pulling people over. When he walked up he first went to the front of the car to check then said he stopped me for no front plate (which was BS.). Warning and he pulled back onto 45 with his lights already on to pull over whomever he got behind next.

We have 4 vehicles, not a front plate on any. I don't drive in a manner in any of them (including my bright orange supercharged Z06) which draws attention to warrant getting stopped.
