My E90 + Tinted Windows. How do you like it?

Alrite, so I tinted my E90 2 days ago, still trying to figure out if I should tint it a little bit lighter, as I don't like dark tints. I know you guys would ask me what % of the tint is, but all I can tell you is its EITHER 35% or 43% Suntek Carbon series tint. I am not sure about the % because on the work paper, its says 35%, but I ordered 43%, and the installer said 43%, but not sure. They will test the tint on Friday morning to see what % it is and then I will give you guys an update.

As for the tint itself, its kinda like bronze color, which is a color that I don't like too much. However, since E90 haswith so much electronic stuff and using metallic would interfer with the connection, this probably is the only choice, unless I opted for the $550 option of Huper Optik tint, but $$$.

The tint I like the most is the one that I had on my previous Lexus, but I dont know what kind of tint that was....I forgot.

Enough talking, here are so pics, give me some comments on the tint!!

It looks darker than you Lexus tint. How much did you pay for it? How is night time visiblity?

yea, it looks a lot darker than the Lexus. My lexus had 43% tint with mirror effect. That's why I wonder if my E90 had the 35% tint.

The E90 with that tint is not too bad as for the visibility at night time. I paid $250 for all 7 windows.

I think your car looks good!
I am thinking about getting 35% all around with Formula One Pinnacle ceramic.
$305.00 CDN
I am still thinking about 18% on the back window.

I think it looks very nice.

Anyway, I don't think it is too dark, and I appreciate that you posted the pics so that I can make decision on my tint %. I think I am going to go for 30-35%. I figure that is about what you have.

looks like 35% and it looks great! 43% is really light.

I like the tint a lot. And for $250, that's a pretty good price. I'm guessing that includes a lifetime warranty? If you're ok with the night visiblity, I think you should be happy with it. Darker is usually more preferable.

Does your e90 tint have any mirror effect? It doesn't look like it, but I can see it in the Lexus (or maybe it's just an angle thing).

I'm looking for a tint that has good night visiblity, but has a mirrored finish for privacy. Any suggestions?

I like the back, but to me the sides are just a bit too dark.
7 windows? Did they count that little thing on the back doors as a separate window?

The tint doesn't have mirror effect. The ones that had mirror effect, like the one I had on my Lexus, are either dyed or had metallic on them, which would interfer with the electronic stuff on the car. I had Navi on the E90, so didn't want to risk it. Somehow, this tint gives you some level of reflection, although its not mirror. See the pic below and you know what I mean.

And, yes, they count the small little in the back window as an individual piece. I think that's a standard practice for tinting because for the last a few times I tinted the window, all those installers count those.

I feel so relief after seeing so many positive comments from you guys!! I guess I don't need to re-tint it to a lighter one. Thanks guys!

I've just ordered a TiAg, Sport, 330i; and I plan to have 35% tint.
Seeing your car gives me a preview of what mine will look like.
I like it!!

I think Solar Gard. The guy I'm hiring to do the tint is the only licensed dealer of huper optik in NYC so I trust his ability and tint choice. I think 35 % all around should be good.

In Delaware we're not allowed ANY tint on the front windows. I've always been afraid it would look stupid to just do the back. Otherwise I would love to tint my Alpine White!
