What Car History Do Have in Pictures?

Inspiration taken from both the "Facebook Car Thingy" and "Uplifting photo's" thread. Post your car history using only pictures (Up to 10).

"Rules"
1. Post one picture of each car in order of ownership.
2. Must be a picture of the actual car, taken during your ownership
3. Choose the best picture you have of the car in the most interesting location.
4. Feel free to only post the interesting cars or locations, or ones you were most proud of. We don't want a sea of Vectra's in the office car park

1. 2009: My first drive in my first car(25 when I passed): 205 GTI replica (with 1.9gti running gear, suspension etc) at Ribblehead viaduct.
2. 2010: Peugeot 207, South France
3. 2014: Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost, Switzerland, near Furka Pass.
4. 2015: Fiesta ST180, Newlands Pass, near Buttermere
5. 2016: S2000, Timmelsjoch Pass, Austria/Italy
5. 2017: E350CDI, South France
6. 2018: 330d, home
7. 2019:330d (current car), friends house, Slaidburn
8. 2020: CTR (current car), Oulton Park

Here's mine, there's loads missed out in between the first and second but I have no pictures of them, I've also had loads of other stuff along side most of these but there's a limit

Renault 19 16v ragged this to death, I broke it every other week, luckily my dad owned a garage at the time.

BMW 318ci first BMW when I got my first proper job, always wanted one so it was a dream realised.

Honda S2000 my first quick car, tracked this one, took plenty of concentration to drive quickly, a nightmare when wet / damp / cold and would get caught out by a modern 120bhp diesel if not above 6000rpm.

Honda S2000 I missed the red one so bought this, very low mileage and absolutely mint, only did around 3000 miles in a year so sold it for what I paid for it, should've kept it looking at values now.

E90 325i loved this car, turbine like straight 6, lovely sound, blew my brains out when I traded it for the Z4M.

Z4M fast, that engine, ham fisted, not really a delicate thing being honest but plenty of fun none the less, however the maintenance costs were outrageous.

F30 320d my first new car, frugal and felt very modern at the time, I absolutely love Estoril Blue.

F30 330d pulled like a train, a very capable car, all the car you'd ever need? I missed it so much when it went, replaced it with the Audi below

A4 Black Edition, tripe, absolutely devoid of character, the S Tronic gearbox is just an abomination it's so so poor and at times just dangerous so much so the wife eventually refused to drive it.

E Class Cabrio, my favourite so far just a beautiful thing inside and out.

Bit more of a challenge for those of us who have had most of our driving history covered by photos in a non digital form....

So SQ5 on my daughters wedding day in 2018....
and M5 on day I fetched it in 2019....

But not much else of interest to capture the last 34 years digitally....

The certificate is in the cupboard, I hated the Audi that much that I didn't want to put it on it, and I genuinely just haven't got round to putting it on the Mercedes, I was going to do it about a month ago to hide it's age but then the Rona hit

Edit - it was on the black 330d but I didn't put it on the 320d for some reason.

I’m baffled by the first pic, the M5 meet, and not just because I can’t see an M5.....

My favourite of recent cars, picked 7, don't have photos to hand of earlier cars.

1. 520D Auto. F10 my favourite 5 series shape of all time. There is no better BMW saloon silhouette. Racked up some serious miles in this car and my best 'workhorse'.

2. M235i Manual. F22. What a car!!! Every M Performance part possible was on this those 19 inch wheels with RFT were rock solid. A real spine chiller in every sense of the word. Great fun to drive and terrifying at the same time. On occasion the pedal box was so tight I wasn't sure if I was going to make the brake pedal in time. One too many occasions of this with the kids in the car had me changing.

3. M4 DCT. F82. First M car and it was a very easy F82 model. This means insane Torque delivery and a car that could lose traction doing 50-80 blips on the M6. No car made my hands sweatier when driving it, genuinely worrying at times but great fun. Only regrets with this car were getting the spec so wrong. Was very into bikes t this time, and wanted to keep the roof racks possible. So deleted the CF roof for a sunroof and then made it black to blend it in. Never getting a black car again (see later). First car I REALLY loved the smell off. Hot exhaust, petrol, turbo something. Addictive, current car actually has this too.

4. M2 DCT. F87. Epic. Miss this car. If DCT wasn't so annoying would have this again. Might still. Those hips though!!!! Tracked the development of this car all the way from the initial launch of the Melbourne Red base F22 car. Kids wish I still had this car.

5. Mini JCW F57. 6MT.. Has an MPE and suspension. Incredible fun!! Discovered Mini Owners Group (MOG) on Facebook. What an eye opener, I love you Bimmerpost guys, Christ the level of question over there is soul destroying. 'My tyres need air, what do I do?' I kid you not. Never buying black again!!

6. M3 Comp DCT. F80. Azurite Black Individual. MPE should have held onto this one, last decent sounding BMW before OPF era. M3 looks better than M4 IMO. First ceramic coated car. Looked immense clean, better than anything but with black exterior and white interior, worst car to keep clean, never buying black again!!

7. F40 Ferrari. Most heavily modified car. FWD and transverse engine. Shockingly fast actually even in the run in period. Interior is fantastic and the tech leaves all the other wanting. It's a means to an end as it's pretty reasonable monthly. If the house move doesn't happen, back to an M car probably some time soon.

If I had to pick a top 3. Not that hard, harder to say which was best:-

1. M2 Fun car. Looked great. Cheapest M.
2. M3 Sounded incredible. No car I OEM will likely sound as good and as loud as this. In touch with current owner on Instagram
3. JCW Mini. Took it out at night and weekends all the time. Ideal second car, such fun and another great sounding car. No good for Work.

Your account has been hacked, Ian, and someone is uploading pics where the whole car is shown!

Very nice history, love both the M2 and M3, maybe one day when I don't do 30k a year I'll combine the 330d and CTR into an M3, I too prefer the looks over an m4.

That m135i looks really smart too, it's actually making me want one!

I think you guys need to take your cars some more interesting places though, where's all the road trips??

Chris I can't agree more about the M2.

I have had my manual M2 Competition now for 3 months and I love it, most enjoyable car I have ever had and I have had a few over the years.
