BGT

Just what we need at a time like this.

Just pure 'feel good' tv. Can't help but smile.

(Although I hate any child dance troupe. Sorry. Just find them fucking annoying)

I begrudgingly watch BGT with the wife, most of the acts are very mediocre, but that Indian dance/acrobatics group were incredible!

Of course those foreign acts do make the show’s title make little sense though.

Not wishing to diss those that enjoy it but I'm with you on this.

I thought this had been canned? Never seen an episode and really have no desire to do so but can see the brain checked out but bhappy logic behind its success.

Each to their own but that program isn't allowed on in my house. I can't think of a more mind numbing way to spend an evening than watching a talent show. I didn't like Stars in Their Eyes or Opportunity Knocks etc when growing up and my hatred of the format hasn't changed.

When I look at Simon Cowell these days I'm in two minds as to whether he looks ill or has done well on a weight loss journey.

I can't stand any form of reality TV. It all feels so fake and pointless to me. Maybe I'm just getting to be an old grumpy sod now I've hit my mid 40s.

To be honest hundreds of thousands of people drink drive every year. He's done his punishment, I'm sure he's lost a fair amount of money through endorsements etc, will he do it again, I don't think so. Everyone has a right to earn a living.

All I'm saying is not many people get to walk back into their job. But totally agree everyone should get a second chance in life.

Three more weeks of lockdown and you'll be loving it and worrying what they're going to do when they get to the live finals. It worries me anyway.

Does his job involve much driving then?

I've no idea, I only see the bits OH records and forces me to watch.

Regardless, he was very fortunate that his employer, the tax-payer funded BBC, kept his job open for him. A lot of employers would have taken the view that he'd brought the organisation into disrepute and got shot of him, whether his job involves driving or not. I think a fair few have had to do the walk of shame for things that could be argued were entirely private.
