I only had my M240 for a few weeks, then I had back surgery. The car is at my parents house in their garage until I can drive it again (maybe 2 more weeks). Its been 3 weeks since Ive even SEEN it...

The struggle is real...

Hope that your surgery was successful and you're fully-recovered and back in your M240 ASAP.

Wishing you a speedy recovery as well! I feel you! I just put the summer tires back on right before the stay at home orders went into effect!

Is your state not okay with recreational driving as well?

I've been self-isolating WFH for obvious reasons, but yesterday I woke up at like 4 am to get some work done early in the morning and I was like fuck I wanna shift and drive my car RN.

Took it for a good ol' spin to the nearest Maccas Drive Thruuu

I believe we are one of the states that has the longest stay at home order in place, but I could be wrong. I'm about to lose my mind, so I think I'm going to say screw it and go for a recreational drive for my sanity. I just need to have a good excuse why I'm driving 40 miles instead of about half a mile to go to the local grocery store. I don't know how harshly they are enforcing things, but Virginia is known to not be very friendly to motorists, so I didn't want to chance things. But I'm breaking out tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

The police in Virginia are not gonna pull you over just because you're driving your car! I've been all over the metro area the past few weeks and had cruisers follow me, pace me, and yes they are watching. But they're not going to pull you over. Besides the traffic has never been lighter here. Most of the police have been laid off also!

So GO FOR IT! Crank it up to a hun'erd on I-66!

Have you had a microdiscectomy by any chance?

Yes officer, I am out for an essential reason. If I don't get out for a drive, I will go crazy!

Good luck with the recovery. I had a microdiscectomy 3 years ago and whilst it cured the leg pain and numbness I'm left with lower back pain akin to arthritis. Tried cortisone injections, stretching, yoga, etc...nothing works. Be great to be able to put my socks on without laying on the floor.

Is the 2 series a car for old guys with back problems? I need triple fusion in my neck. Putting it off for now.

Recreational driving technically isn't allowed here but I don't think there is any enforcement. It is 60 F and sunny today so I had to take the F23 for a spin with the top down and the music up.

I qualify, and the car works fine for me.

Thanks! Yeah I had left leg weakness and foot numbness for a year, that destroyed my balance and thus derailed my golf game. Hoping I can regain some of that back so I can get on the right side of par again ;D
