Touch up paint for MGM colors
If this has been covered before please let me know. When I open my trunk the color of my MGM is visibly darker than the outside surface. I purchased OEM touch up paint, and wouldn't you know when I touched up two very small nicks it dried darker than I wanted. Do I need to have a custom paint shop try to create a match, or is there something I can do to the OEM touch up kit besides throw it as far as I can to make this cr#p work?
We try so hard to keep our cars pristine...so frustrating. |

Many interior areas such as the inside of the trunk don't have clear coat on them. A very thin coating of base coat that has been well shaken in the touch-up pen is needed in the repair area to leave enough space for clear coat to get the paint to the correct shade, which is only possible when the base and clear coat are combined together.

The only thing that ever worked was mixing it with a lighter silver color and blending it in. If you want perfection, I'd go to a shop and have them mix you a bottle. |
