What is this part?
Good day gents,
had a unfortunate run in with a possum. It hit the lowest point of the front "bumper." I say "bumper," because it seems this plastic grill like section clips into the bumper and the undercarriage cover. My question is what this piece is called? Additionally, I assume the front bumper needs to come off for replacement? Posting what photos I think are relevant but can add more. Thanks! |

That's the bumper mount. I've broken it on my M-Sport bumper -- the part # there is 51128055968.
It looks like on your bumper, it's 51117293870, but I'd double check to make sure. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=51117293870 |

I just picked an used F23 with the same part missing. It is called a "center filler". Depending upon model and accessories (M adaptive cruise, etc.) it costs $35 to $49.
