Thoughts on this unexpected stock setup.

Hi,

This set-up arrived on my brand new car, non-NA, non-Euro spec car. Built for Caribbean market.

Bridgestone Turanza T 005 - summer tire, they are run-flat, also seems non-directional.

Front: 225 / 40 / 19
Rear: 255 / 35 / 19

Had no idea they would come staggered, thought it would come square set-up.

Thoughts on this set-up? Do you think rims are all the same size or the rears a little wider. Rim style picture below:

Edit : Same staggered set up as mine... I believe they are 8J front and 8.5J rears...
225x40x19
255x35x19

That's the normal staggered tire sizes. The wheels should be 19x8 in the front and 19x8.5 in the back.

Thank you for the replies, is there a way to check rim size?

Google the the wheel model # from your window sticker. I think the car build configurator on BMW's website has the sizes too.

Don’t have window sticker (special order) and there is no build website for Caribbean.

From BMWs website this looks like your wheel:

19" Double-spoke bi-color orbit grey wheels, style 793i with all-season run-flat tires

You can also call your dealership parts dept, give them the last 7 of your VIN and they will tell everything ordered on your car.

I think there is also a website to do the same but I don't know it.

Thank you.

PS: I think these are a summer tire, not all season.

All good. It was just a copy paste from the USA build configurator.

That is the best looking rim choice of all selections however the staggered option is not available for U.S. cars. Correct me if I am wrong

What would you want square setup on this car with 225's? The rim and tires already suck. They should have done 9 inch in the back and 8.5 in front. Without spacers these rims are waaaay too tucked in and not aggressive enough. Get spacers or new rims. My thoughts

No, I am very happy that they are staggered, was just surprised, thought they were coming with a square set-up.

I think the look is perfect - not everyone has the same taste.

Mine came with 225s square setup and it looked like a Honda Civic. Luckily they told me it had 255s on the back so they swapped the back rims with the 8.5 -255s. Way to much power to put 225s all around on this car.

Mine came with the square set up as well and without the speed limiter delete. Very frustrating to hit a glass ceiling at 130MPH. Looking to sell two of my 19x8 793i and buy 2 19x8.5 793i and get proper handling. Then need to wait for the experts to figure out how to hack the 2021 ECU and get ride of the limiter.

Remove a wheel. The size should be marked on one of the spokes on the inside (my 791Ms are). You might even be able to use one of those bendable mirror light tools to see the size without removing a wheel.

While you can remove the wheel, you can just stick your phone inside the rim on selfie mode find the writing and snap a photo.
