If it has the radar sensor, it should have ACC since that’s what the sensor is used for?

I've had similar thoughts.
I've got the radar in the front bumper but I haven't got the driving assistant professional package and the car hasn't got adaptive cruise control or lane control. I have heard that the hardware is present and the option for adaptive cruise control will become available in the connecteddrive store in due course but I'm not sure if that's 100% accurate. |

The radar is sat in front/within the lower grill if you have it. Cars without it have a square block behind the grill. It will need hardware and software to enable it as I understand from BMW.

What I don’t understand is how people get the radar sensor with their cars but don’t have ACC since the main purpose of the radar sensor is ACC. In America, if you don’t choose the option, the car comes with a different lower grill without the sensor (like in my car). If the lower grill has the sensor, the car invariably has ACC. I assumed it was the same everywhere.

I don't think this is true, mine definitely has the radar sensor, as I can see it in the lower half of the grille, (not behind it) but not adaptive. It's all a bit vague.... |

What about the steering wheel buttons? I'm guessing yours are different?

Adding Adaptive cruise control?
Just got my M340i, thought it had ACC - turns out it doesn't. Thought I was clear with the dealer that it was to have it. Anyone ever added it after the fact? If it's not possible, probably going to return the car (just got it one day ago).
Such fun...... |

It’ll end up being an expensive affair trying to retrofit it. If you can, return the car and get one with ACC.

Perhaps a bit late but well worth checking the options clearly when ordering. Sales staff don't always know everything and can be a bit vague on the technical items. Depends who you get of course. Seem to recall I was telling my sales man a few things when I ordered.
Amongst others was telling him where the car was being built based upon the vin and he was surprised I was able to track the car a progress when being built and even which ship it was on.! I was watching the ship in real time in the English Channel so I knew when it had docked! |

2023 Tech Features
What is the likelihood that there will be more options like adaptive cruise control and parking assistant plus that will be available for future 2023 builds? Considering a 330e but not interested in moving backwards on features I currently use daily.

This is how the buttons should look like with (at least G20 pre LCI):
Left= No ACC (Only controls speed but breaks downhill). Middle= ACC with Stop&Go (I have that with Driver Assist in G22), Right= Driver Assist Professional. If the function is "to come with SW" perhaps it is like the WiFi earlier this year that HW chips has changed and SW is not ready? |

Found someone on Facebook which is selling ACC retrofit kit for 150$.
Does anybody know how hard it would be to set it up by myself ? Can't find a video. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid024aqr6agXAh6ur5LYhoXy4C kvLCwMQrEsQr7EWEtmyyG2DwKCYxi5M9ZVFXUKyCeBl&id=111 4309728591477&sfnsn=scwspmo |

Any updates or progress on this?
I have the radar, hill hold, auto park etc. basically everything except for acc. Im hoping it’s as simple as buying the switch and coding, or even easier. Anyone get this done? |
