anyone know the part number for this? couldn't find it on realoem.com

The big piece that locks the two connectors into place. Also the large sliding clip attaches to it as well. I broke one of the locking things while trying to get the connector off. I managed to get it back into my car but, I want a new piece so that future installations/removal will be easier.

Look at the connector piece itself...there is a number on it that corresponds to the number your looking for! There are two numbers...one that tyco uses and one that bmw uses...copy both of them and goto the dealer and order it....its a pretty cheap piece...about 5 bucks or so!
