Anyone upgraded their Diverter Valves?

Curious if anyone here has put in a different, stronger, diverter valve? I really would like to grab one but it appears to be quite the process to install. I've yet to look under the car and get a look at it, but from an example I found it looks like a PITA.

it seems as though the GFB is the GO-TO for diverter valves on these cars

Yes. Installed on my 2016 F25 with N20.....when I added the FTP chargepipes at the same time.

No, read it was a pain in the ass and best to do with a lift, so I had my local indy shop do it when they replaced the water pump/etc since a lot of the same bits had to come off to get the DV in.

Probably a dumb question, but are there often diverter valve failures? Besides added durability, any reasons I should plan to swap mine out? (17', 60k miles - Doing the charge pipe soon on mine).

The OEM DV is fine. Replacement is done to hold boost longer so when reapplying the gas pedal....acceleration is faster....less lag. The OEM dumps boost sooner.

Good info but on the F30 chassis.....https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1482708

Is it fine up to a certain point? I’m not running stock boost and plan on running as much as I can in the future, I think in this case I would benefit from the extra strength to hold boost, unless stock DV can hold more than originally thought?

I upgraded my DV as I added bootmod3 and upgraded my chargepipe as well.
