When in for my (contactless) oil change earlier this week they had a Marina Blue M5 CP in the showroom. Having seen one the same colour equipped with HRE P200 wheels, I did start thinking it would make an ideal motor for doing the monthly south coast to North Yorkshire run. Must resist...

(Incidentally, those wheels are £2,500 each... I checked!)

Yep! I did casually enquire about a fitment for the F30 and they do a 19" set that will fit (albeit an inch wider). Spending £10K on wheels for what is at best a £17K car is what got me thinking about the upgrade. So £17K for mine, plus the £10K I saved on the wheels, that's £27K so far - gotta love the man maths

I've seen one on the road, M5C and surprisingly he was a spirited driver.. from a red light, that launch and composure of the car is another level.

I would get one in a heartbeat.. one of my favorite Ms

I got to drive one around my local track, and no word of a lie the straight line power is absolute bonkers! My local track has a 2nd gear hairpin and the traction out of that and up the hill on the start finish straight was probably on par with my light weight race car running 450bhp!

On a wide road they're great, but I tried driving one round some local roads and it was ridiculous. It's just too wide to take out for a spirited drive, not to mention that you can only keep full throttle for a few seconds before you have to lift for something... cyclist, other cars, jail!

As a car to get somewhere on the other side of the country/continent really quickly, I can't think of anything better.

My dealers showroom is the same with about 4 cars in the whole place. Not sure why it has to be so empty.

😂. Don’t forget you’ll also be saving £55 a year on mot’s plus if you’re spending out on extended warranty on your current car - that’ll be saved too. Does that £10k of wheels include tyres? there’s a saving there to be had to, I reckon we’re nearly pushing £30k now 😂

Yep, price doesn't include tyres. Come to think of it, we probably won't be taking any holidays this year so that's another £15K.

Here you go, £1k a month for 10,000 miles, and no deposit. Pretty good deal I think......

Would rather have the new one, liking the new grill, the screen inside is far too big though.

Not sure the grille, lights or screen really matter when you drive one! It is all about the driving....
