So I ordered a 318i, which is the same engine as 320i but detuned to 156bhp and I was expecting to see a B48A or a B48B if I'm lucky but now thar I got the VIN, still not the vehicle, and I checked online I get that my engine is B48C, anyone has any idea what that is?

The B48C seems to be found in the G21 320i/G2x 318i. Not sure if the recent G20 320i has this engine as well.
So far I know the exhaust is different (no valve, connections,..), engine parts are mostly shared with the X1 B48 and cooling system is also different than before.
All this off course with emissions improvement as main purpose.
The technical or iinternal difference between the B48A/B however, not sure.

Yeah, seems to be too new to know the major differences in terms of performance compared to the other revisions.

My 320i from 2020 also has the B48C engine. Only exhaust differs from previous B48A/B?
