Can you tap into the reverse light wire without having to remove all the trim on the tailgate etc to get to it?

Is it accessible the rear left or right compartments within the trunk? Thanks

I'm wiring up the stealth hitch. My boat trailer has surge brakes that lock up when backing up so I would like the reverse circuit hooked up to release it.

I installed the stealth hitch on mine. All the signal connections were found on the right rear section. Other than that, I only tapped the battery main.

What color was the reverse light wire on yours?

The stealth instructions for the f98 and f97 only have 3 wires. Left signal, right signal, marker.

Update: I ended up running a new wire from the backup light on the hatch to the right side compartment in the trunk to connect up with the hitch wiring. Taking the hatch apart was pretty easy, all clips. Took maybe 30 mins to complete it start to finish.

Does anyone know the wire color for the reverse light on a G01 X3? Hooking up a Dash Cam Backup Camera and already have the wiring ran to the right rear access door on the tailgate. Just need to know what color wire to tap into.
