BMW M2CS Review - Joe Achilles
This is quite a good in depth review of the new M2CS by Joe Achilles

I agreed with his assessment. Don't by the CS as a track tool. The C is a better platform to start with. Buy it for the added creature comforts that make it a better all around DD with some track days. He didn't help the DCT/manual question, but he personally has a 6mt. He did reignite the CCB for me though.

Seems like most of these CS reviews are very subjective by the reviewer.Of course the performance specs of the vehicles are very close. The CS IMO is a superior vehicle just for the improved exterior and interior upgrades.Anyone who wants one and can afford it should get it.

Agree and Joe does state that, throw some Cup 2s on the M2C and it's very close.

Unfortunately, all reviews are going to tumble to the "Is it worth $25k more than the M2C"? instead of focus on how stellar the car is. If we leave out the education on finances there is a noticeable improvement between the two models. I'm pretty sure M2CS buyers aren't really on the fence about which direction they will go. I'd like to read more about how the CCB impacts driving characteristics. |

Nice review.
Like that the car on the road is more compliant, that is the only way I'll use it, collecting it tommorow Coming from the OG M2 N55, this was the only logical step to me. 718 GT4 PDK on order, wil collect that car spring next year. Last edited by Romo; 07-31-2020 at 02:11 PM.. |

I'm sure the Competition is the better "value" than the CS; however, even with the extra $20k for the CS... it may not end up being more expensive to own. If the CS's depreciation curve isn't as steep as the M2C, CS owners may end up spending less money depending on how long they keep the car. Just depends on the demand and how many end up being produced.
The CS review we've all been waiting for.... lol Last edited by M2CS; 07-31-2020 at 03:57 PM.. |

Just watched this again.
Didn't pick up on the point before that it has much less burbles. That is fantastic news as they are sort of embarrassing in the M2C unless you are 12. Also I love a thicker wheel. Joe has big palms with tiny sausage fingers. Mine are like something off an alien. So that's another plus for me. Finally. That colour is so, so good on the M2 body. It does something to the lines of the car that makes the whole design look more cohesive. |

Your opinion, and you're in the minority. I'd say if you think everyone not driving your car really cares, you're the one that's 12. Get over yourself. You're one voice, and obviously in the minority.

I guess I'm in that tiny minority of gear heads that don't like fake shit.
Normal amounts or overrun pop that high performance engines have made since the early days is pleasing but the 4th of July firecracker show that is the standard with M2c only made much worse by aftermarket exhausts is kinda whack. And it's dead going forward just so ya know, BMW and other manufacturers are toning way down going forward. 2020 X3m40 major reductions in silly noise 2021 8 series the same, not sure if 2021 M2c will get the reduction but it's coming for all models eventually. |

I hardly ever use Sport Plus in my M2C other than blasting around on back roads. Then again, that's probably the intended use after all. |
