G80 suspension design question from an F80 alum

Hi all:

In august 2014 I took delivery of one of the first f80 m3s. Stripper model, 6 speed manual, 3,450 pounds with 2-3 gallons in the tank. I put 71k miles on it and it was the best car I've ever owned. I sold it a few months ago and bought a bucket list car, a Porsche 997.1 turbo 6mt.

One of the reasons I did that was because the 425hp RWD f8x platform could not put power down effectively 0-30mph without triggering MDM/traction control in SE PA daily driving. It would constantly cut power. For what it's worth, I'm now driving a 480hp/505tq AWD 911 and while the official 0-60 and quarter mile times from 2007 are similar to the f80, the real world speed is a whole different story. Between it's weight distribution, suspension design, and AWD system....power delivery is perfect and the actual at speed acceleration is a different league than the f80.

So now the g80 is presented with more power, bit more torque, similar weight/size, and a 6mt and RWD or auto + AWD.

My question is this: Is there any reason to believe the RWD version's suspension & diff will better put down power better than the f8x was able to do? We are ~3 months prior to production of this vehicle so I'm hoping for any insight

Joe

They fixed this with a big upgrade that came in 2017 onwards with the Competition Package so no reason to suspect this won't carry forward to the G8x especially given the early drive reviews that were back to back with the latest Comp
