V1 Stealth Install in LA
Hey folks--
Any recommendations in LA (preferably West Side) on install shops that can hardwire my V1 and install the stealth display? I'm comfortable hardwiring the V1 myself--I did it on my E46 M3. It's the stealth display install that I'm concerned with. It seems much more complicated and I would prefer a professional to do it. Thx! |

I had asked the same question a while back and didn't receive a response. Hopefully someone will see this as I am getting tired of the cord hanging down the dash. lol.

Still haven't found anybody yet huh?
I usually just wash it myself, but if I'm too busy or something, there is a pretty decent place off of Olympic near Sepulveda. I've also had it detailed by John on m3forum and he did an amazing job. |

Are you talking about the place on Olympic and Corinth? They do handwashes for $16-$18--they don't put it through the conveyor. I used to bring my E46 M3 there all the time. I thought they did a pretty good job.
I forget the name. Most of these LA car washes are pretty generic and look the same. |

So does he have a shop? Where is he located? Did he do yours? I actually wouldn't mind since I'm down there quite a bit. I can usually only get down there on the weekends t hough. |

Have you tried Lucent Motors for your V1 install? They specialize in high-end cars, and they are located in the same area as the car wash. http://www.lucentmotor.com/

Hey Rick! Darn, I was actually going to leave work early today and have my car washed there. lol. I'm not familiar with any of the other car washes in the area.
Hmm, I was just hanging out at Lucent the other day. They do really good work, but i'm not sure if they can do the stealth install in the ash trey and all that stuff. Maybe I'll just ask and see what they say. See ya around SM. |

There's a DIY on the regular E90 side.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
