Which CS color works best with gold wheels?

I'm wondering what colors go best with the gold wheels. I realize this is highly subjective, but let's just say that I'm not very good at matching colors. I believe black/gold and misano/gold combos work well because of the contrast. However, black is out of the question for me, as I don't like black cars, which is also why I'm not considering the black wheels (graphite is ok, but in black the wheels just disappear).

Dark colors. Silver and white wash out. Only blue and black.

I think they look OK on all finishes but nicer on the lighter ones. Goes to show how subjective this stuff is!

Agree that all the satin black causes the wheels to 'disappear'.

If they offered them a light silver or grey, that'd be the best looking option for this car IMO.

Blue is most complementary to gold but I think the blue + red calipers + gold wheels is a bit too colourful.

I think they look best in the order Black, white, blue, silver.

On silver I think there will be good days and bad days depending on lighting.

Without seeing in person though it's difficult. Wheels look totally different than most pics that capture only gold hue.

Agree. That's why I never liked the black M performance 763. But the ones on the CS are gloss and this lets them play with light and not disappear. Sex.

For gold, jeez that black and gold is great combo. Every time I see it I ask myself could I live with a black car again with my obsessive disorder issues? The answer keeps coming back no, but I admire people making this choice.

I would say gold wheels , are fine with all 4 colours of the CS , i like them with the black and blue , but for sure white would be a nice combo too , and silver too. Heres some photos of the blue with them . In real life they look so different by the way , it matches very very well. As Artemis mentioned , the gold wheels look more silver gold than yellow gold !

Is that parallax or does the e30 look that tiny?

Also,, yes, the dealer showed me the "gold" colour. For reference, It's pretty much the the x3 M40 thingy grille colour.

I originally wanted to go with HS/gold, but bailed on the idea. I believe these will be rare birds. I think that those with the fortitude to hold the line will be rewarded handsomely.

How in Zeus's, Poseidon's, Athena's, Ares', Apollo's, Artemis', Aphrodite's, Hermes', Hades', Nemesis' and Hecates' name can you reject this color?

Because "black" is not a color is my world. I had a black BMW back in the day. Never again. Lesson learned.

The CS owner had his brake calipers painted in Misano blue.

Judging by the brake discs, the brake calipers used to be red (2NH).

Always a bit tricky to re-affix a sticker on a repainted brake caliper. Often these crack/chip/discolor because of heat resistance issues.

Apparently the owner will have found that a third color was on too many.

Is it a decal on the stock brakes? If so, where would I get such a decal?

I'd like to have my stock brakes powdercoated red one day, I don't like the bigger brakes, but I want that stock decal to remain as it is.

See for example the following threads about BMW M decal delamination:

Beware of the heat to be processed as a result of intense friction. You don't want brake paint to catch fire.
