Just noticed this during wash, haven't seen it before since I last washed it two weeks back. Running 275/35 PS4S on the rear. Anyone else with 275 or wider noticed any rubbing? It's strange, I am running this setup for about 4 months, haven't had any issues even when I pushed her.

I have different tires but this pic might help. I haven't had any rubbing.

That shouldn't happen. Do you have spacers on the wheels? Have you checked the wheel alignment - specifically the rear camber?

With correct camber setting, the edge of the tyre should travel inside the metal edge of the guard at full compression. Even with a 275 vs OEM 265 tyre.

Contact with the plastic arch liner may still be possible at full compression but that takes a big, hard dip or a couple of large pacific islanders in the back seats on EOM springs ;-) But if it's rubbing the guards, I think something is amiss.

PS. my comment is based on OG M2 with 275/35-19 MP4S. On the M2C, YMMV,

Which version of PS4S do you have?

275/35r19 PS4S SL - 8.9" tread width
265/35r19 PSS (OEM) - 9.4" tread width
275/35r19 PS4S XL - 9.8" tread width

It's probably not the primary cause, but it could be a contributing factor.

It's only on one driver rear side, other side is fine with no issues. Stock 788 and no spacers.

Photo is kind of blurry but honestly it looks like paint protection film peeling off or just rocks chips and sling from the tires.

From what I can see in the pictures, that is NOT tire rub, as it's on the OUTSIDE.

What am I missing here?

And with a 275/35 you should NOT rub anywhere but the top of the fender liner. Even the 888R, which runs wide as hell, isn't known to rub in a 275/35 on stock wheels/suspension.

I'd say what you have is completely different.

Besides, you'd clearly see any rub on the tire.

I’m with the guys here, I don’t think that’s tire rub.
It seems like you have tire dressings,
You sure it’s not some stubborn oil/dirt buildup?
Unless you have crazy wide spacers, it shouldn’t rub like that.
