Powder Coating OEM 19" M Sport Rims

I think I like it but I also like the OEM color. I've got black grilles on the way so that will probably help me decide. It's the wife's daily and she doesn't care. I'm assuming black badges are available as well. We've got a lot of powder coaters around here so I'll probably give it a go. I'm strongly considering dark graphite as well though. Thoughts?

My poor "Photoshop" attempt using Paint.net. Not great but it gets the idea across.

Not sure if you are going for a glossy or matte look. If the latter, have you thought about DYI with Plasti-dip? Totally reversible and looks great. Cost is about $15.

Does the Plasti-dip hold up?

It holds up great (like years depending). The nice part is if you/ wife curb rash it, you just give it a few quick shots over it and it blends right in. You can't mess it up. I have done several sets of wheels over the years with excellent results. Goes through car washes just fine too.

Maybe I’ll give that a go. Thanks!

color is subjective...

I was going to go all black when I got rid of my stockers...
Ended up going gunmetal grey instead...

personal preference.

Kudos BTW for a color other than white, black, or silver!

Very nice! Yes, we got lucky finding this gem down in Florida from an estate. We love the color.

I vote silver, but if you must change it up go with a darker graphite. Black wheels just become blobs without any character. I like the look for smaller sized winter wheels, and for offroad truck type vehicles, but with a sporty BMW the silver is always classy - if the wheels are in rough shape, freshly powdercoated silver will be a big improvement too. Another alternative is to switch it up to the style 662 19" M sport wheel, which is a little darker gray with machined/polished face.

I've been thinking graphite too. I'm going to try to Photoshop it again.
