Drivers seat driving me mad!
I don't know if anyone can help me out here, the seat is giving me terrible back pain.
I can't seem to get the bum low enough, the back straight enough and my knees supported all at the same time. The manual adjustment is a bugger to get in the right spot. I'm constantly fidgeting. I feel too high up, even though I'm on the lowest setting, I'm either too close or too far away from the pedals. And there's no lumbar adjustment either, just the bolster that hugs your sides. I think I need to relearn my seating position. * |

There's a thread which covers the installation of a manually inflatable lumbar pad - well worth searching for.
I did the mod for my car. As a sufferer with bouts of chronic back pain, it made a big difference. Less than £50 for all the parts and about an hour to do the work.

This is my post on how to fit manual lumbar support.
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...etrofit+lumbar When I first had my 3 series I had back problems until I sorted out the seat angle. I was angling it backwards so that I was sat right in the seat with my weight on my back. Once I had put the seat flat and horizontal my weight was through my buttocks rather than through my back, the back pain stopped. With the lumbar support fitted and the seat correctly set I have no problems now and I am comfortable even on long journeys. When I part exchanged my 3 series for a 4 series with the same seats I took the lumbar support with me and now have it in the 4. |

I feel your pain. Literally. Had exactly the same experience. IMO Extend bolsters fully and buy the above. Don't use that thigh extension. |
