F10/ F11/ F12 19"s on X3 F25 alloy wheel swap
Hi all,
First time posting here so hopefully not breaking any rules with this one. After spending the last week reading through the forum on people asking if 20"s and various after market wheels fit, I am still none the wise on how to calculate what I can upgrade my alloys to. Currently I have a standard SE 2015 F25 with the 17" wheels: Wheel: 7.5Jx17 ET32 Tyres: 225/60 R17 99V (I believe these to be correct) I have a slow puncture on one rear wheel and tread worn down to needing replacing on the other. Before splashing on new tyres I though about buying a set of winter wheels and tyres and have found some local that I like the look off. These are off a BMW 5/6 SERIES F10 F11 F12 and OEM. Specs for the product ID 6790178 & 6790179: Wheels:FRONT 8,5 JX 19 "ET 33 6790178 REAR 9 JX 19 "ET 44 6790179 Tyres: 245/40 R19 98V 275/35 R19 100V The bolt pattern is the same from my research so I am wondering what the effect will be if I was to pick these up and get a local garage to fit them. Will the speedo be out/ will there be errors on the dash? Will the tyre monitoring system throw errors? Sorry I know this has been asked 1000 times but I am very nervous about changes like this. My wife primarily uses the car with my 1 year old son in the back so dont want to cause any handling/ performance or error issues. Thank you for reading and your time! |
