Remote Start

My remote engine start or ventilation start (with Key FOB or BMW connected app) no longer works. This is the stock Remote Start on a 2019 BMW 330xi.
I changed it to Ventilation start or Remote Engine Start in settings (checked on and off), and neither works.
Nothing happens when I use my Key FOB (pushing lock 3 times) but when I use the BMW connected app I get the following message in my car: Remote Engine Start not available. The conditions required for operation have not been met. See Owner's Manual for Further Information"
I confirmed and followed all the requirements, and it is still not working (fuel, hood closed, vents open, etc)
What can I do?

Besides making sure you have it checked in the Climate menu, make sure you have everything checked under General Settings under Data Privacy. After that try rebooting iDrive and see if the remote start works.

Restart iDrive by turning the car off? How do you restart iDrive?

Push and hold in the volume button for about 30 seconds.

What didn't work? Restarting or remote start after restarting iDrive?

Every now and then I have the same issue and get the same message. Then next time I try it another day it works as it’s supposed to. No idea why I get the error because I don’t do anything different each time it try it. The good thing is it works a lot more than it doesn’t.

In my car, I think it has happened 5 times at most. Twice was because it said low battery (not sure if it was my car or phone but I'm guessing phone because my phone died as soon as I hit remote start). The other three times it said conditions not met even though all conditions were met. All times were with the app. It has never failed to remote start when I use the key fob.

Try to charge the battery.
If the charge is too low then a lot of the remote functionality is disabled.

The issue I am having is the key fob I normally use will no longer activate remote start, but the other key fob will. Has anyone experienced this/knows what the fix might be?
