440i Lukewarm Review

Hmm.

Comments turned off by RBR, can't imagine why.

Steering so/so.
Looks grill/grill.
Interior is great.
Engine is great.
Sound nothing.

Oh dear, hard to argue really. RBR is very pro BMW these days, perhaps only the die hardest of fan boy reviewers will be praising this car. Missed opportunity I think and spoiled by EU regs now?

Surprised at this, most of the other early reviews I’ve seen have been positive.

In the frozen picture from the vid the cars looks fantastic to me

carwow just posted this. Matt Watson prefers the 4 series to the other two.

Have to say that car does nothing for me...

I was initially quite taken by the views of it on the configurator etc, but as I start seeing real world video there is just something off with the proportions at the front (funnily enough, the grille is not my main issue, but an overly rectangular profile from the front...)... and those competitors are all starting to morph into the same look...

... and the price... Hmm... Close to £62k with a bit of a spec... Which means, with a deal, the car is something like £20K more than my F30 340i was... Appreciate this is a 4, not a 3, but that's still an eye watering uplift in, what, 3 or 4 years...

Maybe it will look better in different colours...
