San Paolo Yellow and Portimao Blue G82 M4 from the BMW Experience Center
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com In my opinion SPY is horrible, definitely not to my taste, while in blue the M4 is beautiful, it is its color! The Portimao blue metallic is nice (way better than the frozen one) but in Marina Bay blue it would be great. I had the opportunity to see the M4 in PB and an M5 in MBB side by side (unfortunately in a "no photo area") and thought how good the M4 would look in that blue. Still curious to see it in IOM green. I paid more attention - and taken more photos - on SPY since it's a new color, while we all already know the PB metallic. Someone was also lucky to drive it |

Thanks for sharing!
Too bad Portimao is not loved on the G80 because it's the typical M340i & M440i color. But to be honest if I don't like Brooklyn Grey in person I'll probably make Portimao Blue my next choice, unless Isle of Man Green or Toronto Red exceed my expectations!

I am really struggling for which I would prefer this gen, M3 vs M4. I prefer a coupe but the rear half of the M4 just looks so long from a side profile. SPY and PB are both really great paint options but too cop magnet-y for the way I drive.

Thanks for the pics. If you put your phone up against the glass the reflections disappear btw.

Some of those pics are misleading on the color though if you haven't seen it in person. The ones that look yellow aren't correct. The ones that look more like a neon highlighter are the correct color. You may likely already know this, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

It's amazing (maybe not really) how polarizing SPY is. Some people say it's hot and some say it's the ugliest thing they've ever seen. YMB was like that although to a lesser extent I think. I'd get SPY if I thought I could pull it off in all situations (work for instance) here in Ohio. I would also almost be guaranteed to have the only SPY car in town so people would recognize it, for better or worse. You'd definitely have watch your driving style around town. "There goes that crazy BMW driver in that neon yellow car again."
In Miami on the other hand, the car might just seem almost commonplace.

The rear fenders (my M3 highlight) are very weird looking to me on the G80, its not flowing niceley, like not finished... A specific M3 rear door would have fixed this and I was hoping this time they may build specific rear doors for the M3, instead of using the ones from the normal 3 series, but it is costly of course, but Audi showed that it can work out, like they did for the new RS6. |

Obviously, again, the cheap idiotic gang at BMW decided to make it wider without flowing the design with the door. So obviously, in order to be cost effective, they are using 3 Series sedan doors for this vehicle too. They are INCAPABLE to design and allocate all the necessary resources to make this icon unique like before. Instead of focusing on a flowing design, their idea to differentiate from the other 3 was to give it a bad nose job and some pigs nostrils... SMH |

2021 M4 interior question
Hey all,
New to this so apologies in advance if my questions been answered elsewhere or if I've posted this in the wrong place. I received my production number for my car last week, very excited of course Mine will be frozen black, carbon everything and fully loaded. Ive been working with my dealer on an issue with the "full black merino leather" interior (M carbon buckets yes), I've been told that there is a strip of grey around the outside of the headrest that cannot be delivered in black. Ive seen and sent photographs showing the headrest surround in all black along to the dealer but since its not an option I'm told I cannot delete the grey. Anyone else had encountered the problem? Cant imaging you can't order all black interior? |

If you check in the configurator, then they are indeed always in „two tone", so black has the grey stripe. Most of the pictures that are around of the cars are prototype or pre-production models, so maybe that's why they were blacked out. Otherwise the only thing I see, is to check if this is possible if you go with BMW individual... |

On the E90 at least the rear door had more of a even curve to mimic the curve of the wheel arch. The F80 and even more so the G80 doors just slice right through it since the rear door is straight and not curved like the E90 |
