IAS and getting the backend out

Hi all, I'm about to choose between two different M550s – one with and one without DHP. I'm in a deadlock but I have a tie breaker question that I couldn't find any info on...

My guilty pleasure is sliding the ass end out around corners (when it's safe to do so and no one's around to witness me act like an ass). My question is, does IAS take the fun out of getting the backend out every once in a while?

I have a '21 without DHP. Just the conventional setup.

It's pretty hard to get the back end out when dry, but even with less than 1K on it I've gotten it sideways a few times in the damp. After 1,200 miles I'll be a little more adventurous, but signs are good with the LSD and Sport + engaged.

Even in the damp, still gotta throw it VERY hard. She's a big girl, soft around the edges, gentle but forceful and manage the weight.

Your driving around the Cracker Barrel model. Go with the sharper Long Horn model (M5) if you want a lot of sliding

If you take your time to do your research thru all the threads you will find that the consensus with the M550ix is that it is better to have the DHP because the ride height stays low and the adaptive dampers and active roll stabilization help compensate for the heavy v8 engine in the nose. IAS is more of a convenience.

If you wanna get the tail out- M2 Comp with a manual trans is your ticket to a very fun time. Or move up to the M5/M5 Comp, but even then the M2 is more tossable in a corner.
