sad to say I'm leaving...but still in BMW family

it has been great here and i"ll only be going to the m3post forum as I traded in my 335i today for an 08 m3.

it was love at first test drive....

I will miss the twins and the 20mpg !!

this has been one of the best and most informative forums I have ever been a part of!

congrats!!!! does the m3 feel faster than the 335 if you had it chipped? what made you change your mind, i am also considering the m3 but i have never test driven one. (I dont want to test drive it unless i am sure i can get rid of my 335i first.)

got the sedan....

it's just a different feel.

i really only went to test drive it, and I drove a 6 speed... and the rest is history...
just fell in love.

it feels different than the 335i... what they say about no torque is kind of bs... pulls hard however i haven't gone beyond 5500 rpms yet either, except in the short test drive..

just feels powerfull and sounds great... feels like my old mustang to some degree but with much better handling lol...

hope this helps...

what really heped is the bmw select 0.9 financing.. made it possible.

yes,
I traded the 335i for a decent price, considering 32,000 miles
and the new one, got $5k off sticker (probably could have squeezed a bit more) at 0.9% from bmw financial, select. basically its kind of like a lease where at teh end of 5 years there is a residual value that you owe. the good part is that value is not considered in the amount financed... so knowing that I won't keep it anywhere near 5 years anyhow, instead of financing 60k, it was more like financing 35k at 0.9%! sales guy told me they can finance up to 115% with decent cred.
I know that later it will hurt if I rack up the mileage, but when I drove her, it was love and life is short

How in hell do you draw comparison between this and a Mustang? haha That has to be a first...

Does the BMW Select financing also have a mileage allotment like a traditional lease? What are the differences? Im just curious it though I dont really plan to do this.

Now that's a philosophy I can agree with. Good for you!

The lease on my 335 is up next August and I the first car I will drive will be an M3. If I'm not smitten, I will probably get another 335 coupe or just buy the one I have. It's been a blast!

well, I was not intending on a comparison....
I guess since the M is stick and a big, nice sounding powerfull v-8... that's all I'm saying... the old mustang 5.0 that i had back in the day sounded the same and had that v-8 feel during acceleration... thats it.. I'm NOT comparing the two...it was just a comment lmao

That sounds like some of the balloon pmt mortgages. Hope you're ok w/ being upside down on the loan when you sell.

Regardless you live once. Sweet ride!!!
