The lease on my F82 M4 is up in a few months, so I want to get the ball rolling on a G82. But, I haven’t pulled the trigger yet because I've been unable to see the colors in person. I went to two dealerships but neither had any color swatches.

My top two exterior color choices are IOMG and TR. My top interior choice is KO, but I’m not sure it goes great with either exterior color. I've seen pics of IOMG with KO, and it looks pretty good, but it's hard to tell from pictures. If you’ve seen it in person, what do you think?

And I think I know the answer to this, but how do you think TR and KO would look together?

I agree it's challenging with the colors though. As I mentioned in whatever that other thread was, I just had to find as many internet examples as I could, read as many opinions as I could and them take an educated hope/guess and hope that when I finally get to see the car in person in April-ish that I'll love it. Lucky for you there are a lot more youtube vids of IOMG than there are of Enzian blur and I think the blues are even worse for having varied appearing colors in different lights. Neither are my color choices, but I think IOMG and KO go together well enough from when I saw them at M Track days.

I would definitely go KO on IOMG. It's the launch color so the designers know that it works as a combo. Some may not like it but just with anything else it's subject to taste.

I would not do KO on Toronto Red though. I would pick Silverstone in that case.

On another note you could probably place your order now and still have a few weeks or even a few months before finalizing your build, depending on the dealer's allocation availability...

I'm all for color choice being fully subjective. Whether you like it is all that matters. You do you.

But, damn man, do NOT do TR and KO. That's awful. Like sitting inside a popsicle.

Just like I thought of sakhir orange as a "red" interior. I see KO as a "brown" interior.

I definitely could see TR and KO working well together but I would definitely want to see the red paint with a KO swatch next to it, or sit inside a KO interior and hold up a red paint sample.

But I think it potentially would work well. Plenty of great combos out there of red with brown/tan/cinnamon like Ferrari.

I think TR on KO could definitely work, but that is never having seen KO. From pictures I don't think the contrast would be dramatically different from my previous Melbourne red 440 with cognac leather.

I guess it will depend on whether KO trends more orange or more brown in real life.

I had Imola over Cinnamon on my e46 M3 and it got a lot of compliments. I dont think it's the best choice but it's unique and I really liked mine.

I think we all agree that it really depends on what KO looks like in real life. If it's more orangish it won't work but if it's more brownish it'll probably work. I'm not brave enough to order it on a TR G8x without seeing KO in person!

Motegi red / Aragon is offered for the current M5 and it works. If anything TR (which is more RED and vibrant than the duller Motegi red) with the KO interior would work even better.

That looks really good. I just wish I could see TR and KO in person.

TR is more Orange than Red. I have it on my F98.
My wife has a chili red F60. That red is red.

TR is a bit of a chameleon. When it's cloudy, overcast or under fluorescent light it's definitely more on the orange side.

In the sun the red starts to pop but you can still see the orange hue in it. I have had it for well over a year now and have pics in various lighting conditions. I'll post them up for reference.

As to the reference with motegi red, TR is not even close. TR is way more orange than red.

KO and TR is a tough one LOL

I'm a fan of bold colour combos on my vehicles, I did see KO in person on the IOMG M3 when it made the unveiling rounds late last year. It's definitely more orange than brown. I personally don't think it will jive well with TR.

I'm saying that because TR is more orange and KO is also more orange but both are a different shade of orange side by side, would look odd IMHO.
