G20 330e Auto Start Stop Disable

Hello folks, my vehicle due in 3 weeks, I've read the manual online (and searched the forum), and not clear about how to disable Auto Start Stop on a 330e?

On my G30 I have a dedicated button... on the G20's I see a disable button on all but the 330e, which has the Battery button

Obviously in Electric Mode, it makes no difference, but how do you disable the feature in
Sport
Hypbrid
Adaptive modes?

I don't like the 'feature' especially when you have to pull out into traffic etc... when you need to trust something will happen 100%

Cheers

It's not an issue on the 330e as the hybrid will more often than not take over at low manoeuvring speeds anyway, even in Sport.

Once you get your car, you'll realise that it's so nice in electric that you would only swap to Sport on some country roads.

Thanks... does it auto stop in Sport and Hybrid Modes by default? And there's no way of disabling it? Just curious 🤔

It can’t be disabled as there is no need to as the motor gives immediate drive and the engine will start if necessary but you’ll already be moving by the time it does.

Makes sense, thanks... I did have a loaner 330e for a day and didn't test this as I was busy that day.. I guess I'll soon find out I don't need it

This is true. However, if you really wanna keep the engine running you can switch the gear to Sport/Manual and then it stays running. In any other mode it'll stop, unless the engine is completely cold. In any case, it never stays running for long, even when cold.

The engine will also stay running if you have the transmission in Xtraboost mode.

330e doesn’t have remote start, at least in the UK, but you can pre-condition the cabin which also pre-conditions the batteries. I don’t think you can pre-condition or remote start the ICE element. Having a warm cabin at 05:30 is definitely a big plus in my opinion. HTH

I don't see why you'd want to remote start a 330e.

You can turn on the A/C with this feature?

It does cool the car but it doesn’t use the traditional A/C to do it. I presume there must be a separate Peltier device or similar (like you get in those compressor-less mini fridges).

these cars use a low voltage heat pump for a/c and heat, much like the mini split systems often used in homes
