Fire Orange 6MT Approved for March Build

After requesting Fire Orange back in November for what was supposed to be a January allocation, getting turned down, and then entertaining every single color on the upcoming palette (and not being happy with any of them), I finally got a March 10 build date. I decided one more time to try the individual color route. I tried YMB, denied. I tried Verde Mantis, denied. They offered me Mexico Blue because they are "no longer making Yas Marina Blue paint," which I denied. I figured I would try my first choice ONE last time, and this morning I officially got approved for Fire Orange II.

Fully loaded 6MT with every option:

Silverstone Full Leather with M carbon bucket seats
M Carbon Exterior Package
Executive Package
19"/20" 826M bi-color wheels
Parking Assist Package
Red Calipers
M Drive Professional
Carbon Fiber trim
Individual shadowline lights

I feel strongly that this car needs a light color to contrast the Carbon Fiber and the new grills. Life is way too short to drive boring colored cars. I was "set" on Toronto Red until I saw a TR X4M last Sunday under overcast skies and absolutely hated the color.

March 10 build, hoping to see the car before July 4th.

Happy you got your preferred color !! Just wondering about red calipers with fire orange.

Personally I'd go with black calipers. Blue would be even worse haha

EDIT: Must admit It's a beautifull color and good choice adding life in the interior

Thanks man! I think the Red will accent it well, as it accents the tail lights. I saw a lot of F8x's with Fire Orange on the standard blue calipers and wasn't a fan. You can also see it on the visualizer below.

Also, numerous people have told me that black interior would be best on Fire Orange because it will look like a creamsicle....I'll just have to live with that very strong image/comparison in my head lol.

Wow I've been following your posts and you've had more twists & turns on your order than a cheap garden hose but hey in the end you're watering them flowers

Just like PLF above I wouldn't spec red calipers on fire orange, but it's your car so do what works best for you

I'm guessing with a March 10 build date you should be able to take delivery well before July 4 even with an individual color.

That's going to be a great looking car.

In case you want black chrome exhaust tips from the factory for free instead of silver, I think adding Extended Shadowline will do that. If you are planning to go aftermarket, not necessary of course.

Now that the four standard Individual interiors are available, it's going to be interesting to see what others pair with the inevitable subsequent FO M3s and M4s that are about to be ordered now that people know they are being approved. The blue and Tartufo could work, and even the white, which as we'd covered in the past, will give an even truer Creamsicle look.

Really weird, it's not showing up on my options but I did add "extended shadow line trim."

I have my CA checking because it's coming up as individual shadow line lights.

If it's a completion model, it comes standard with the extended shadowline trim. It may only show in your options if you choose to delete the extended shadowline trim

Ok, yeah, that's a different option, obviously. For sure worth asking about.

As he said in the OP, it's a 6MT, so it's the base model.

@mkoesel extended shadow line trim is indeed in my build, it's just not showing up in the online portal under "My Garage." Appreciate you double checking because that would have been an unfortunate mistake to have the car come with silver exhaust tips.
