Today I was able to see the new M3/M4 in person, and they look absolutely amazing. Just a disclaimer, what I am about to say is highly subjective.

First, SPY looks really nice. Personally I really like the greenish yellow, very unique color.

The front looks wayyy better than I would expect. I am not a fan of the huge grille, but it starts to grow on me. I'd say the real car looks a lot better. It's like when we get a new haircut, we never like it at the beginning, but now I start to like it. Very unique design. But personally I would put a front plate on it even I never put a front plate. It makes it less aggressive.

The interior is the best I've seen so far in any car with the carbon bucket seat. Personally I really like the design, sporty and modern. The carbon bucket seat is more comfortable than I imagined, but I don't expect it to be as comfortable as the normal seats in a long drive. But it holds you very very well. I opted for one mostly because I track a lot and for the look and I don't regret it at all but considering the limited room for me (6 ~145), I wouldn't recommend to anyone whose weight is significantly above average.

Lastly the exhaust is not so special compared to other parts, but I think a bit better than the F80.

I apologize for not taking any pictures of the M3. Totally forgot about it because I was too excited about the M4. Can't wait for mine to come in the coming months!

Bay area. There was a M3/4 launch event in BMW of San Rafael. You can check out their IG. My guess is that some dealers will get the demo cars to show it around for one weekend in the coming weeks.

Cannot believe I missed this. Why is it so damn hard to be notified of where these cars are in 2021? I'll have to call them in the morning to see if I can look at them.

They are moving the cars to Berkeley today FYI. I managed to get a slot to go see them but it's full already. Sounds like they may move on again so reach out my fellow Bay Area people if you want to see it. I feel like I'm waiting for Christmas, July 4th and thanksgiving all in one

All I can say is WOWOWOWOWOWOW! The G82 is beyond amazing and the carbon seats are an absolute must-have. I must say the G80 to me was overall meh and I did not feel was distinguished enough from my F80 to be worthy of an upgrade. More thoughts below and pictures (including bonus photos of the RS6 I managed to FINALLY see in the flesh which was also beyond amazing). What a wonderful day.

• Carbon bucket seats are perfect - I did not feel uncomfortable in the slightest; they are nice and snug on me and wrapped really nicely
• Carbon seats make ingress/egress more challenging haha (need to work on core)
• My crotch had no issues with the little piece on the seat
• These cars look WAY better in person; even as I was taking photos while standing there it was crystal clear that they do not photograph well. The cars are beautiful
• I have a strong preference for the M4 - the curves are just perfect and the back does not appear to jut out as much as it does in photos; the shape is just so sexy
• SPY is gorgeous and eye-catching; I probably wouldn't get it because it feels like it will be too popular but it looks really really good
• Rear of the G82 looked pretty spacious I was surprised. Was too excited with the front to get in the back but it looked like a solid amount of space
• The standard seats did not feel any lower than my F80 seats did which was disappointing
• The carbon seats DID feel lower than my F80 seats which I lovedddd (I'm not sure if standard seats in the G82 are also lower than the G80)
• Did I say the cars look amazing
• Strong preference for the G82's looks; I feel like the front end of the car just belongs on the G82 because it screams sportscar to me vs. the G80 that is very stately looking
• None of the interiors looked good to me; KO was WAY too orange and the blue was not a nice blue (Silverstone will be the way for me)
• Rear end of the G82 is very wide
• I look forward to LCI taillights on the G82; they are the biggest letdown on the car (the white bits look cheap)

How nice is that green and I loved the orange, both individually and as a combo! Not a single photo I've seen in the last several months comes close to how nice this car looks, it's so aggressive, made everything else in the showroom look ancient!

Thanks both of you for the pics and comments. Do you think you could pull off SPY as a daily car in all situations, work and otherwise in your life? I love the idea of it, but not it might stand out a little too much in some situations.

I think it depends if you like a slightly louder color, I don't, I'm a darker car color fan and I really like the frozen paints specifically, so keep that in mind for my opinion, but no, I couldn't live with it; the paint looked very dull in darker areas, it felt like it was missing something. It's hard to photo but the first photo is what I wish it looked like, the second is what it actually looks closer to.

It definitely stands out so if that is a concern I would not buy it. Personally I would only buy that color as a second car. You are correct that I could not pull it off as my only car. I like being able to be a bit discrete at times especially given my work in client services

"Stand out a little too much" might be the understatement of the year haha. Love it or hate it, the color will always be something that is brought up.

As the other guys said, you cannot miss this car. You can literally see it from a million miles away, no matter what lighting conditions, even at night. I'm all about loud colors, and if I ever add these Gx generation cars, I'd like to go with a bright color as most of my cars are let's say standard colors. But there's no doubt SPY would not be for everyone. Not to mention it'll be a cop magnet.

At this moment, I'd lean on IoMG with KO carbon buckets. That's a stunning combo inside and out, whereas SPY would have to be with black interior for me. KO carbon buckets alone would say me towards IoMG over SPY.

I also much prefer the G80 over the G82, and don't know how SPY would look on that.
