Rear License Plate Lights

Just noticed tonight that the lights on my rear license plate are yellow and not the white colour.

Seems as I had problems with some sort of light warning on my display I'm guessing that Berry changed it out for a yellow light fitment

is this the case, or should the replacement lights still be white.

The number plate lights are LEDs (at least they are on my 08 e92) so should be bright white.

Tis a filament 'yellow' bulb on older coupes. (i.e my june 07 car)

but are your door handle lights white ?

Yep the door handles are white. I think they are and always have been LED's

The number plate lights changed to LEDs in Sept 2007. See pic below:

Did you have to buy 2 of these and also was it a straight swap with the old bulbs.

1Usd=~50php. I just left Manila few hours ago.

Wonder if they are good for trunk lights? ( I mistakenly left my trunk opened for 5 hours, the stock bulbs drained my car battery. Guess LED should be better for power save ?)
