2 minor issues with f32 440i

Hi all,

Been playing around with my new 440i and had these last 2 minor inconveniences and wanted to see if anyone can help

1) Does anyone have an Iphone Max? If so, where do you put your phone, the little phone cubby does not fit at all.. see pic. Thinking of getting a vent magnet and just hanging it there...

2) Does anyone know how to enable folding mirrors upon parking? I swear I saw that option the first day I had the car but now I can't seem to find it anymore in the menu...

I got a Rennline phone mount for my car. I like that it blends in and doesn't block vent space. I also routed a charging cable from the passenger seat 12V plug (under the glove box) through the center console and back out the front so the cable isn't in the way.

You most likely have to use Bimmercode to enable folding mirrors upon locking the car. I had to do that for my '17 430i GC.

Yup I did the same thing with the Rennline phone mount and you can't even see the USB cable (where the red arrow is, is where the flat USB cable is routed through the lower dash piece down to the 12v in the passenger footwell). I took it a step further and mounted a wireless charger onto the mount's ball (most of the mounting balls in various chargers and mounts are the same size) and it's awesome I highly recommend it especially for people with big phones. I have a Note 20 Ultra and this works very well.

There's not an option to auto-fold the mirrors that I'm aware of but you can code it to open and fold the mirrors when you lock/unlock the car with your keyfob. Bimmercode is awesome so many cool things you can customize.

Just to confirm, you do know that the mirrors fold if you keep the lock button pressed a bit longer?

Not on US market cars. You have to enable it via bimmercode or whatever.

I second the rennline mount, it's clean and inconspicuous. I also second getting an app like Bimmercode or learning to use e-sys for coding, there are tons of things you can tweak to personalize your car and add functionality.
