My g80 was scheduled for production. I was scrolling through the build on my garage and saw the dealer missed the moonroof and extended shadow line trim. I had him add those options back in plus carbon buckets and then the car went back to order received. why??

Give your rep a call and ask him/her, I highly doubt this would put you back into the order queue. Probably just a system issue.

Why not?

I have never used mine.

Once, while sitting in my living room, I sat on my key fob and had the sunroof and windows open automatically to "cool the vehicle". Luckily, I found the car with the sunroof and windows open before it rained that night.

Moonroof is obviously personal preference. I love mine. Nothing like opening all the windows and moonroof and enjoying the fresh air and the (natural) sound of the engine. Almost like a convertible. Natural light coming in when it's closed is great too. I find non-moonroof cars a little claustrophobic.

I park my car in my garage, so don't have to worry about the rain issue. BUT, I do sometimes go out to the garage and see either my trunk or my wife's trunk open. I've always been afraid of the remote start feature. What if I accidentally start the car when it's in the garage? I've yet to own a car with this feature. Until I get my G83 that is. Fortunately it will have Apple CarKey also, I don't plan on using my key at all.

once the car starts production status you can't change it. So a couple things could have happened.

1. they had another allocation open that was modifiable so they used that to make the changes and the original build will just be sold to someone else off the lot.
2. your car was not at production start status yet so it was still able to be modified which may have shifted your build date
3. the factory changed the estimated build date.

keep in mind build dates are just estimated by the factory and can shift and do all the time. Its out of your hands and dealers hands. I wouldn't take to must stock in estimated production dates.
