My friends M2 brakes are finally done and it's time to replace or upgrade. We already did stoptech SS lines a while back.
I've told him to go with Stoptech Trophy kit or AP Racing if he wants to spend the extra cash. The other option is to keep stock calipers and get new pads and rotors. They're planning to track 5-6 times a year and have canyon runs couple times a week. What is a good rotor and pad combo for street driving with some track use? Track pads plus street pads would be acceptable as well.

Rotor and pad upgrade can work. If not looking forward to swap pads, Ferodo DS2500 is very good with much higher operating temps than standard sport pads. If don't mind swapping, Ferodo DS1.11 is the way to go with a super flat torque curve, long pad life, and more rotor-friendly than other pads out there. https://www.hpashop.com/Stoptech-Aer...h-Aero-F8x.htm https://www.hpashop.com/Ferodo-F80-F...DS2500-F8X.htm https://www.hpashop.com/Ferodo-F80-F...rodo-DS111.htm |
