What's going on with my TPMS

Bought new TPMS valves and installed them on my new wheels today. But as you can see, one is reading 530 psi and the others are claiming low pressure.

I did inflate them all to the correct pressures and I assume the fitting garage did too.

Any ideas? I've tried resetting multiple times and get the same result?

Did you buy genuine BMW sensors or aftermarket?

we’re they purchased from a reputable source ? BMW don’t make them , they are badged - come from 4 major OEMs who supply all the Tier 1 car makers .
There’s quite an aftermarket of black market parts according to someone I work with who spent years working in one of the OEMs.

Could also be a faulty batch.

Well they were purchased from eBay? Seller has 100% feedback and the link was given to me by someone who has purchased good sensors from him?

I'll be contacting the seller but I feel sure there is a simple reason for what's happening. I just need to work it out.

It looks like temperature is reading correctly only issue is tyre pressure.
Try to undo and then tight again valve stem, maybe sensor is not placed correctly on wheel before you go and strip tyre of the wheel.
Could be dodgy one as mentioned before.

Looks like I've got a faulty sensor on the front right. The seller is sending out a new one as special delivery.

All the tyres are gradually losing pressure too so it appears the fitter has fitted the valves incorrectly. Which might be why they cannot be reset properly/keep showing an error.

Brilliant.

Problem solved!

The valve stems/cores were loose in the valve and leaking pressure, triggering a fault.

One sensor reading 530.0 psi has been replaced with a sensor from the OEM wheels and everything is fine. New sensor incoming for putting in at the next tyre change.

Job done!
