Ordered Base M3 IOMG/Black

CF seats
CF interior trim
Executive Pkg
Parking Assistance
Red calipers
Shadowline trim

I knew it was March allocation. I was hoping it was a week 9 projected build, but it seems to be week 12. Now, the waiting begins.

Waiting time is a pain in the a** ( I ordered back in December !! and will recieve end of april/begin of may)

BUT
it's also a very exciting time I mean I can't wait to take the delievery and it's somehow also very exciting I guess..

Cool thing is though as I already sold my 328i:
I'm currently driving an old Citroen C2 crap car with over 200k km on it ! When I get in in the M3 I get totally blown away (or maybe smash the car straight into a wall lol)

I talked to about 10 dealers who all didn't have any allocations. I expanded the search area and a dealer had one 120 miles away. It was a March allocation that the dealer wanted to use before the end of February

well I walked into the dealers shop as soon as the car was announced (felt in love with it from the first second).

We then decided to wait with the order until the end of december in the case they change something for the new year (better conditions etc.).
The conditions got worse so we ordered with the old conditions from december

Back then I didn't know that a thing like "allocation" does even exist, I just thought Dealers put the order in and it is like first come first served.
But I didn't and still don't know exactly how the car industry works soo...you guys here told me that there is a thing like allocations

But it's ok for me, I can wait. So I can enjoy my car directly going into summer

I'm in a fairly small market and the availability of an allocation was a real worry for me. In the end, I think I got extremely lucky as the dealer was able to trade their M2 Comp allocation for my G80 M3 MT allocation.

I'm very surprised to hear that people in large urban area in California are having trouble getting an allocation. There's an article on here about that.
