3.0L TT Diesel Cutaway and Info
There was a EuroFest at the BMW Zentrum this past weekend here in SC.Lot's of cool euro cars.Found this display inside the Zentrum...timely given the upcoming launch of the diesel X5 and 3 Series. The TT 3.0L Diesel is a physically large engine. The plastic tank next to the exhaust pipe is the urea injection system that chemically changes the diesel exhaust emissions.BMW calls it AdBlue injection. Both tanks hold approx 6 gallons of urea solution. That should last for approx 10,000 miles.BMW will cover the urea solution refill under the BMW Maintenance Plan. The car will stop and become undriveable when you run out of Adblue solution. The car will give you a series of warnings as the tank gets low.To read the timeline on the last page use X3 Large. Thanks! I saw this when I was there a couple months ago. Very cool technology.
What do you do for work Palbay? After my trip to SC, I have been seriously considering moving there.
